Hi - and welcome to the blog!

If you’re learning English (or teaching it), and you enjoy reading about travel, culture, languages, and everyday life, you’re in the right place. The posts here are mainly for adult learners with a B1 level or higher.

My name’s Lucy, I’m an online English teacher, and I believe that learning English should feel useful, interesting, and human - not just like studying rules from a textbook! That’s why the posts on this blog are written in a natural and friendly style, similar to how people actually speak and write in real life.  

In each post, you’ll usually find:

• A short text about a real topic (travel, culture, lifestyle, language learning, etc.)

• Useful vocabulary taken directly from the text

• A small practice activity

• A few discussion questions to help you think and speak more confidently

  
  

You can read the posts just for fun, use them to practise your English, or even bring them to your English lessons. Teachers are very welcome here too!

My hope is that this blog helps you to:

• Feel more confident reading English

• Learn useful vocabulary in context
